In 1867 the organization was reorganized under Tosa patronage as the Kaientai. Its regulations defined a group concerned with transport, profit, development, investment, domain support, and study in fields such as navigation, engines, languages, and politics. The change did not turn an informal band instantly into a modern corporation or navy. It altered sponsorship, rules, and public identity while retaining men and skills developed in Nagasaki. Museum copies and explanations make the organizational transition visible, linking the small restored house to later careers in diplomacy, parliamentary politics, administration, and enterprise.
